GA TOPAZ - 100% CMK
(Galan by Abu Farwa x Aurtama by Aurab)

Action by the ounce. GA Topaz is by National Top Ten park horse, Galan (by Abu Farwa). His dam is by the well-known park horse Aurab and out of a daughter of the park horse Tamarlane (by Abu Farwa). GA Topaz was chosen as part of the Kellogg Heritage herd at Cal Poly Pomona to reintroduce the old Kellogg blood. He is one of three standing sons of his sire, Galan, and the only one out of an Aurab daughter. GA Topaz has a wonderful, kind disposition with the style and type missing in so many of our more 'current' bloodlines. Rediscover Arabian heritage with GA Topaz or buy one of his exceptional foals. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library ~ What is a CMK Arabian? ~ What is CMK? an introduction to the Crabbet/Maynesboro/Kellogg Arabian Horse (Michael Bowling) ~ What is the Crabbet Arabians? ~ Why Buy Crabbet? ~

What CMK stands for CMK stands for Crabbet/Mayensboro/Kellogg. CMK horses are not just from these farms however. You have the influence of Davenport and a good deal others but most are represented through the 3 farms mentioned. Arabians imported to the US before 1950s are considered CMK, with the exception of the Patton's Polish and Babson imports (except for the Crabbet) are not. In order for your horse to be considered CMK 75% of their pedigree must go to CMK bloodlines and their sire and dam line must also trace to a CMK source. Hope this helps. - Maria Wallis, CMK Arabian Horses, My Golden Farm, Kaufman, TX ~ Our Horses

Aurab

"I took this photo of the mighty Aurab at the 1971 Scottsdale show. He was 13 1/2 at the time. This was taken on a Brownie type camera and somewhere I have the original large color print from which this was reproduced toillustrate an article on Aurab in "Crabbet Influence." It shows his regal demeanor and excellent conformation. I'm proud to say I knew Aurab all his life. He was a true gentleman and a wonderful sire, and deserves to be ranked with the very best in the history of the Arabian breed." -- PW
